I use the same 70-200 and I picked up the f/4 at a Canon store a few months ago and it felt almost criminal how light the f/4 was. The f/4.0 will focus on par with the 70-200 f/2.8 IS L ii (which I actually had hoped was better than the f/4.0). And for still subjects the IS is really excellent. So for many I guess they would be happy with its performance in low light. The optics of course remain mind blowing.
